The Shroud Of Turin...
The Shroud of Turin is a linen cloth 14 feet 3 inches long and 3 feet 7 inches wide.It mysteriously bears the highly distinct Image of a Crucified Man.Since the sixteenth century, the Shroud has been believed by many to be the burial cloth of Christ. It is presently been kept in St. John the Baptist Cathedral in Turin, Italy. It was last Displayed for the public from August till October 2000 in Turin, Italy.

The Image On The Shroud... The Image on the Shroud reveals an image of a severely brutalised and crucified man who was covered by it.Blood stains on the shroud make the claim look even more authentic. The image is of a six feet tall man severely brutalised and with blood stains at the wrists, feet about the head and brow (as a crucified man would have). The presence of pollen of different plants found in and aroun Jerusalem also leads credence to the theory that the shroud was in fact a burial cloth of Jesus.

Carbon -14 Dating.. The results of radiocarbon measurements at Arizona, Oxford and Zurich yield a calibrated calendar age range with at least 95% confidence for the linen of the Shroud of Turin of AD 1260 - 1390 (rounded down/up to nearest 10 yr). These results therefore provide conclusive evidence that the linen of the Shroud of Turin is medieval.
According to this test then the shroud is too new to be a burial cloth for Jesus. However there have been credible claims against the results of these tests and hence has thrown open the Pandora's box.
